Why we grow…
In 2020, during a season of loss and uncertainty, I began growing flowers as a way to find peace. After losing my mom, I found myself drawn outside to the quiet rhythm of planting, tending, and watching something living take root. Working with the land gave me a sense of grounding when words felt insufficient, and flowers became both a refuge and a form of healing.
That path led me to work with Bel Fiore Co., where I deepened my understanding of flowers not just as something beautiful, but as something grown with intention, care, and respect for the seasons. It was there that I learned the value of slow growing, thoughtful design, and the connection between farming and artistry. These lessons continue to shape everything I create.
In 2022, I found the land that would become Nurturing with Nature. What began as a personal practice grew into a Missouri flower farm rooted in stewardship, creativity, and care. Here, flowers are grown without harmful chemicals, harvested by hand, and transformed thoughtfully. They may become fresh bouquets, wedding florals, pressed flower art, botanical teas, bath soaks, seed packets, or experiences shared on the farm itself.
We grow because flowers have a quiet way of holding meaning. They mark milestones, soften grief, celebrate love, and invite us to slow down and reconnect. Our farm exists at the intersection of art, wellness, and agriculture, with every offering beginning in the field and carrying the story of where it came from.
What we do is simple, but deeply intentional. We grow flowers with integrity, preserve them with care, and share them in forms meant to be held, used, gifted, and remembered. Everything we offer is rooted in the belief that when we nurture the land, it nurtures us in return.
What we grow…
We grow flowers with purpose. Every variety on our Missouri flower farm is chosen with intention, guided by how it grows in the soil, how it moves through the seasons, and how it can be used beyond a single moment in bloom. We are drawn to flowers that tell a longer story, flowers that can be dried, pressed, steeped, shared, or saved for seasons to come.
Many of the flowers we grow carry personal meaning or cultural history. Feverfew has long been grown in traditional herb gardens and appears in early botanical texts. Lavender has been used for centuries in European traditions for its calming fragrance and its ability to preserve beautifully when dried. Pansies have historically symbolized remembrance and thoughtful reflection, while cosmos are often associated with harmony, balance, and order. Zinnias, known for their resilience and long-lasting blooms, have come to represent endurance, joy, and remembrance across generations.
Our farm-grown flowers are used across fresh floral design, preserved flower art, edible botanical goods, and seasonal farm offerings. Many of the varieties we grow are edible, well suited for drying or pressing, or valued for their structure and color long after harvest. We are especially drawn to flowers that are unique or less commonly recognized, inviting curiosity and encouraging people to experience flowers in new ways.
Above all, we grow with care for the land and the people who interact with it. Our flowers are grown without harmful chemicals and harvested by hand at their peak. Whether enjoyed fresh, transformed into art or wellness goods, or saved as seed for future seasons, each flower is grown to be used thoughtfully and with intention.
Where we grow…
Nurturing with Nature is rooted on a small flower farm in Missouri, where the pace of growing follows the land rather than a calendar. This farm is both a working agricultural space and a place of creativity, reflection, and connection. Every bed, path, and planting area has been shaped by hand, season by season.
The farm itself is part of the process. Soil health, pollinator support, and sustainable practices guide how we grow and care for this land. We work in rhythm with the seasons, allowing each year to inform the next. What thrives is nurtured, what struggles is reconsidered, and nothing is grown without intention.
This space is also meant to be shared. Through farm tours, on-farm experiences, and seasonal offerings, we invite others into the growing process and offer a deeper connection to where flowers begin. Being on the farm provides an understanding of the care, patience, and work required to grow something slowly and well.
Everything we create begins here. The farm is not just where flowers are grown, but where ideas take root, where healing continues, and where beauty is cultivated from the ground up.
